Print Screening
When it came to designing a cover for my book 'The Urban Wild', I struggled with deciding on anything. I decided to give print screening a go. Below is the process that I went through to achieve the title on the front.

First of all we had to print our titles onto tracing paper and then cut them out on the guillotine.

Next we had to apply the emulsion to the screen, get it prepared to have the text screened onto it. The emulsion was placed into a tray and then smoothed up across the screen with a moderate amount of pressure. The would allow the emulsion to attach to the screen. It was then dried and washed, ready for the text to be placed on it.

The next stage was to print the text onto the screen. This was done through a vacuum. It removed all the air and forced the text to attach. It was then rinsed again to remove any dust of any form. It was then ready for Print Screening. The simple process of rolling paint over the text onto the fabric below. It did not go very well for me and I have decided against using it.
